Burnaby Immigrant Programs and Services
The BIPT Inventory of Resources for Immigrants includes 125 programs and services designed to support new immigrants and refugees as they settle in Burnaby.
The Inventory was first developed by the Burnaby School District’s Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) Program in 2008. It was then adopted by the BIPT and has been updated numerous times since and most recently in June 2015.
The Inventory can be searched by program, service type or agency to find useful and current information on services and resources that are:
- Critical to the settlement process
- Specifically for newcomers
- Located in Burnaby (except when the service is not available in Burnaby, but serves Burnaby residents)
Access to this information by newcomers and the people who support the settlement process is crucial as it ensures effective settlement service delivery and appropriate referrals. BIPT gratefully acknowledges all of our members for helping us keep this information current, and our funders for supporting this vital service.
