My Circle Program-Multicultural Youth Circle Program for Newcomer Youth

Program Description:
MY Circle Program assists immigrant and refugee youth who are in the process of adapting to a new life in Canada. The program creates an environment that helps newcomer youth to break feelings of isolation, develop support networks, learn new skills, and gather information and resources in a comfortable and supportive environment, meet strong role models, gain a positive image of youth’s community, and develop community capacity building opportunities.
The program has three components: an 80-hour training program, Peer-support Groups and a 12-week tutoring and settlement support club.
Client Profile / Eligibility Criteria
- MY Circle Training – Immigrant and Refugee youth between 14 through 24 and can speak some English
- Peer Support Groups – open to immigrant and refugee youth between 14 through 24 years of age
- Community Circle Clubs – open to immigrant and refugee youth that are high school students between 13 through 18 years of age.
