Program Description:
Promoting psychosocial care for the clients by:
- Delivering mental health and wellbeing orientation information (groups/family/individuals) to newly arrived GARs (Government Assisted Refugees);
- Providing short-term or transitional para-counselling and crisis support services;
- Referring clients to specialized and counselling services;
- Facilitating workshops for clients in crisis;
Language: English & Farsi, interpretation is available
Client Profile / Eligibility Criteria
- Government Assisted Refugees and Private Sponsored Refugees
- Priority is given to the clients who have been living in Canada less than 5 years
